Valentine’s Chocolate Mousse Cake Recipe

Ingredients
  

Crust
  • 20 each Oreo Cookies
  • 4 Tbsp. Butter melted
Mousse
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • 12 oz. Dark Chocolate Chips (Guittard extra dark)
  • 1 tsp. Vanilla extract
  • 16 oz. Cool Whip Thawed

Method
 

Crust
  1. Grind the cookies in a food processor until smooth crumbs.
  2. Add the melted butter and continue to blend to combine.
  3. Press mixture evenly into a 13” x 9” pan.
  4. Chill in your freezer for 15 minutes.
Mousse
  1. Combine 1 cup cream, chocolate chips and vanilla in the top of a doubleboiler.
  2. Heat, stirring occasionally, until chocolate is fully melted and mixture is smooth.
  3. Remove from heat and cool to room temperature, stirring occasionally.
  4. Fold whipped topping into chocolate mixture until well combined.
  5. Pour mixture into cooled crust.
  6. Chill in your refrigerator for 2 hours or overnight.
